Youth, Junior and Adult Cycling Championship of RA was held

From June 18 till June 21 Youth, Junior, and Adult Cycling Championship of RA was held in Yerevan Velodrome in which 40 cyclists had participated. 

Mher Mkrtchyan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School, Central Sport Club of the Army) became the winner in men’s cycling omnium among adults, Davit Mkrtchyan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School) took the 2nd and Hrayr Hovhannisyan (Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture) the 3rd place.

Edgar Stepanyan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School, Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture) became the winner in men’s cycling omnium among juniors, Pavel Stepanyan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School, Yerevan State Sports Collage of Olympic Relay) took the 2nd and Edgar Sargsyan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School, Yerevan State Sports Collage of Olympic Relay) the 3rd place. 

Nikolay Gasparyan (Yerevan State Sports Collage of Olympic Relay) became the winner in men's scratch among youth, Hrachya Shaboyan (Yerevan State Sports Collage of Olympic Relay) took the first place scoring the maximum points in men’s team sprint, Levon Lavchyan was the leader in men’s sprint (“Hayastan” Sports NGO) as well as Robert Khachatryan (Olympic Child-Juvenile Cycling Sports School) in 3 km pursuit. 

From June 23 till July 9th 6 best athletes will take part in training camp in Tsakhkadzor headed by Chief Coach of National Team Armen Gyozalyan in order to get prepared for the upcoming important international tournaments. Then Mher Mkrtchyan, Edgar Stepanyan and Pavel Stepanyan will participate in UEC European Championships Track Juniors/U23 to be held on July 14-19 in Athens (Greece) as well as Robert Khachatryan, Levon Lavchyan and Zhora Margaryan will participate in European Youth Summer Olympic Festival to be held on July 26 in Tbilisi (Georgia).
